David is an alumnus of Emory University School of Business, in Atlanta, Georgia where he received a
BBA degree in Finance. David graduated in the top 10% of his class with honors from the University of
Florida College of Law, where he concentrated his studies in areas of complex business transactions and
commercial litigation. While at the University of Florida College of Law, David was an active member of
the Florida Journal of International Law, as the Executive Articles Editor and Managing Editor.
David became a member of the Florida Bar in 1994 and is admitted to practice before the United States
District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
Prior to joining the Firm, David practiced at McLin, Burnsed, Morrison, Johnson & Robuck, P.A. in
Leesburg, Florida, which is the largest law firm in Lake and Sumter Counties, Florida. While at the
McLin law firm, David's practice was concentrated in areas of corporate and real property law, commercial
and real estate litigation and title insurance claims. In the course of David's association with the McLin
firm, David represented various lending institutions such as Barnett Bank, Citizens National Bank, SouthTrust
Bank as well as the City of Leesburg in all phases of commercial and residential real estate development.
David has also received the honor of past member of Florida Bar's Student Education and Admissions to
the Bar Committee, where he provides assistance in enhancing the education of future attorneys,
and was the President of the Brevard County Young Lawyers Association.
As a member of the firm since 1995, David provides clients of the Firm with quality representation
in business construction real estate litigation and landlord tenant law, as well as contract preparation.
in various areas of commercial transactions. David also assists the Firm's clients in all phases of real estate
development, including the full spectrum of platting large tracts of land, establishing and operating homeowners
associations, preparation of condominium documents and restrictive covenants, contracting with builders for the
development and sale of large tracts of property, interacting with governmental entities, and negotiating and
closing large commercial and residential development loans.
David also represents and advises contractors, warranty companies, subcontractors and insurance companies in the
areas of construction litigation, contract preparation, dispute resolution and rights and obligations, liability
arising under Chapter 713, Fla. Stat. Since moving to Brevard County his practice has expanded to advising the
Firm's clients on real estate transactions, landlord/tenant issues and litigation in Indian River, Martin, Palm
Beach, Broward and Dade Counties.
David also has had the honor of being an agent for Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Agency and represents
Commonwealth and its insured in resolving real property disputes in Brevard County and Indian River Counties.
